TECAN Freedom Evo150

This versatile High-throughput/High-capacity system for automated liquid handling is the work horse of the pharmacology lab. The system efficiently processes compounds for analysis, and executes the various in vitro profiling assays offered by the core. Features include a variable spanning 8 channel pipette arm, a 96-well multichannel pipetting head, and plate gripper arm. Specialized devices including vacuum filtration and magnetic separation modules, as well as Integrated devices for heating, cooling, and shaking samples are easily incorporated into the deck configuration.

TECAN InfiniteM200 Plate reader

This multi-mode plate reader is capable of UV/Vis, top/bottom fluorescence, and flash/glow luminescence read modes and is accessible by the Evo150 plate gripper arm.

SCIEX API 4000 LC/MS/MS

Samples from both the in vitro and in vivo assays are analyzed using a Waters Acquity UPLC coupled with an automated PE Sciex API 4000 MS/MS system with QTRAP detection. This mass spectrometer is high performance hybrid triple quadrupole/linear ion trap system with excellent dynamic range and sensitivity.

ANTEK 8060 Chemi-luminescent Nitrogen Detector

The CLND is used to for the rapid, high-throughput assessment of compound solubility and requires no derivatization. The system offers a linear calibration curve over a wide range, and equimolar response for all nitrogen-containing compounds allowing for the quantitation of compounds over 5 orders of magnitude.

SCIEX API 2000™ LC/MS/MS

The API 2000 system in tandem with Shimadzu´s Prominence Series HPLC combines powerful triple quadropole mass spectrometry with ultra flow liquid chromatography. Utilizing three solvent delivery units, photo-diode array detection, high throughput autosampler, and LCMSMS detection makes this an ideal system for routine analytical work as well as the most demanding analyses.

EQUIPMENT

The synthesis services provided by the Core facility are supported by state-of-the-art resources. We have carefully selected equipment and vendors and strategically purchased as much matching equipment between the Lake Nona and La Jolla laboratories. If you require an NIH formatted Resource worksheet for Pharmacology Facilities and Resources please contact Dr. Smith or Dr. Roth.
