The scientific purpose of the Proteomics Facility is to provide a core biophysical and bioanalytical support infrastructure for The Burnham Institute. The Facility serves multiple purposes. First, the Facility provides sample analysis for Burnham Institute scientists on a fee-for-service basis. Second, the Facility identifies, validates and develops new instrumentation technologies and methods important for the characterization and identification of biological macromolecules. Finally, the Facility trains and educates scientists in the proper use of these instruments and appropriate data analysis methodologies.
