HTSA - Chemical Libraries and Screening Facility

The Chemical Library and Screening facility (CLS), part of The Burnham Institute's High Throughput Screening and Analysis (HTSA) umbrella, is located in the Conrad Prebys Center for Chemical Genomics, building 2.  Its purpose is to provide a high throughput screening infrastructure for the Burnham Institute.  Some of the main goals of the facility are to;

  1. Assist labs in implementing assays into a high throughput screening format
  2. Assist labs in finding compounds that can be used as tools to solve basic questions in cell biology, cancer biology, as well as neurodegenerative and infectious diseases.
  3. Advance such compounds further down stream in the flow of drug development

The facility is equipped with a core robotic system, as well as has at its disposal ~54,000 compounds.
